The Legal 500 Hall of Fame7 August 2018

Simcocks is proud to announce that three of the law firm’s directors have been entered into the Legal 500 Hall of Fame UK.

CEO Phil Games, Irini Newby and David Spencer have achieved this status “as a result of consistently being praised for the last 8 out of 10 consecutive years, for exceptional legal talent.”  The commendation originated from feedback given by Simcocks’ clients.

The Legal 500 researches the legal world in over one hundred jurisdictions and assesses the strengths of law firms across the globe.

Simcocks and several of its advocates are recommended by the Legal 500, and its Private Client, Trusts and Tax service is ranked in Tier 1 by the group, showing it to be among the best in the world.

Phil Games is one of the most prominent private client lawyers on the Isle of Man, and works with other professionals to create bespoke offshore and multi-jurisdictional structures such as Isle of Man trusts, foundations and companies.

Irini Newby heads up the corporate and commercial, commercial property and employment departments at Simcocks, and has been named as a leader in her field by independent directory, Chambers UK.

David Spencer’s wealth of experience encompasses general corporate, banking and finance, insurance and shipping, and he has been described by the Legal 500 as “one of the most experienced insurance lawyers on the Isle of Man”.

Phil Games commented on the directors’ entry into the Legal 500 Hall of Fame UK:

“I’m delighted that the expertise and hard work of our directors has been honoured in this way.  Knowing that this nomination is a result of our clients’ praise makes it all the more valued.”
