Simcocks Directors Amy Coole and Alex Spencer have achieved Data Protection accreditations after studying for the Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection.

Professionals undertaking the qualification learn in-depth details of data protection law.

Amy and Alex attended a series of five day courses delivered on and off the Island by PDP in conjunction with the Alliance of Isle of Man Compliance Professionals and each sat a three hour exam to demonstrate their new found knowledge.

With the impending application of the General Data Protection Regulation to the Island and its businesses  which extends the data rights of individuals and requires organisations to develop clear policies and procedures to protect personal data, it is important that businesses can demonstrate expertise in this area.

Simcocks CEO, Phil Games, said “As the deadline for GDPR compliance gets closer, having two of our key advocates as certified data practitioners will add real value to our clients. The GDPR introduces a number of changes for organisations and we are keen to support our clients through the new challenges these regulations bring.  I would like to thank both Amy and Alex for their dedication in achieving this qualification.”
