Simcocks advocates Amy Coole and Kevin O’Louglin are both active members of STEP – the leading worldwide professional body for practitioners in the fields of trusts, estates and related issues. Full members are often the most experienced and senior practitioners in the field and members advise clients on the broad business of the management of personal finance.
Their annual conference took place 19 October 2017 at the Villa Marina with high-profile speakers from both on- and off-island. Simcocks showed our support by sponsoring the morning pastries in the coffee break.
Amy Coole said: “STEP Isle of Man plays a significant role in supporting the fiduciary industry on the Isle of Man. The STEP certificates and diplomas offer a solid combination of technical knowledge and practical experience to practitioners and STEP Isle of Man, through its programme of seminars and presentations seeks to strengthen and develop the knowledge of its members. We were keen to show our support for their annual event.”
The primary purpose of STEP is to improve public understanding of the issues families face in relation to inheritance and succession planning and promote education and high professional standards among their members. Members work with families, helping them with real problem
