Four Simcocks Isle of Man lawyers have been ranked in this year’s Chambers Europe, an independent guide to the best legal practitioners and firms in Europe.
The 2017 edition of the European legal directory awarded two advocates within the Dispute Resolution department and two advocates within the Corporate and Finance department with high rankings.

The guide’s editorial commentary highlights the firm’s “considerable strength on a broad range of financing transactions for borrowers and lenders, including project and acquisition lending, and asset securitisation.”
Director Alex Spencer was given a special mention for his work on a broad range of corporate matters, including M&A and AIM listings. Clients are quick to highlight his “commercial and common-sense” approach to addressing their concerns.
Department head Irini Newby was also praised for her work on M&A and corporate advisory matters, representing a wide range of clients in sectors including the financial, gaming and e-commerce industries.
