New look for Laxey under-8s
Laxey AFC’s under-8s team will be hitting the back of the net this season in a smart, new green and white kit.
Douglas-based Simcocks Advocates has presented the boys with a strip including shirts, shorts and socks.
The team, which includes a couple of players aged under seven, turn out for training sessions held at Ballakermeen High School in Douglas on Thursdays and Saturdays, as well as playing friendly five-a-side matches on Sunday morning.
Laxey AFC organiser, Peter Kinnish said: “We are delighted to have the support of Simcocks and the team is going to look very smart in its new kit. All the players are very enthusiastic and we are looking forward to a great season.”
Simcocks director, Chris Arrowsmith said: “We are very pleased to have the opportunity of supporting the development of youth football, through the sponsorship of the Laxey under-8s team, and having seen them train and play on a number of occasions, I am sure there are some stars of the future among these talented young players.”
