Former head girl returns to the Island
Caroline Murphy has joined the litigation department of Simcocks Advocates.
The former head girl of St Ninian’s High School in Douglas has returned to the Island after working at eminent family law practitioners, Brodies in Edinburgh for more than four years.
In her new role with the Ridgeway Street-based advocates she will be looking to continue and develop her expertise in family law. The litigation team has extensive expertise and experience in complex cross jurisdiction disputes, with particular emphasis upon trust related and shareholder disputes, emergency injunctive and discovery remedies, together with judicial review applications.
Caroline, 27, said: “I am delighted to be part of this innovative, pro-active team and I am looking forward to building on my knowledge and expertise.
“The department deals with a wide range of disputes including human rights issues, financial services, employment and family law so I know it will be varied and challenging.”
Simcocks chief executive, Phil Games said: “Caroline is joining us at a very busy time and I am sure she will become a very valued member of the team. Her skills and experience will further strengthen our litigation department. It is encouraging that the Island and Simcocks Advocates continues to attract the highest calibre of young professional.”
Outside work Caroline is a keen walker and runner and holds a brown belt in karate. She is also is an accomplished violin player.
