Background

Robert’s work encompasses the Dispute Resolution, Corporate and Commercial and Private Client departments.

He deals with a wide range of contentious and non-contentious work primarily concerning complex commercial matters, trusts, commercial property, property transactions including planning considerations and environmental issues such as licensing and control.

Robert gained experience as an English solicitor in the Commercial Dispute Resolution department at Walker Morris in Leeds where he was routinely involved in commercial disputes often involving clients in the property and construction industry. Much of his litigation and commercial work has stemmed from his private clients who are both on and offshore. Some are high net worth individuals who are looking for legal advice that takes into consideration their very diverse range of personal and business interests with cost effective and realistic solutions.

Robert assists on the formation and administration of Isle of Man law trusts, in addition to probate and international pension matters. He regularly appears in court and during his career he has been involved with a wide range of arbitration and mediation hearings.
