Morale is high for the Dispute Resolution team at Simcocks as they win their third industry award in the space of just three months.
The Department previously won the title of 'Dispute Resolution Law Firm of the Year - Isle of Man' following a recent shortlist nomination for the 2017 Corporate Intl Magazine Global Awards.
Head of Department, Christopher Arrowsmith, also won the title of 'Litigation and Dispute Resolution – Lawyer of the Year - Isle of Man' after being nominated in the Lawyer Monthly Private Client Awards in December 2016.
It has now been confirmed that the team have been selected as a winner in the International Dispute Resolution Awards held by the Worldwide Business Review Awards.
The awards programme is designed to ensure that companies, and the individuals and departments behind them, receive the recognition they deserve. Winners are chosen through a combination of votes gathered from a network of respected industry partners and rigorous in-house research.
Based in Ridgeway Street, Douglas, Simcocks provides an extensive range of legal services broadly grouped into the areas of dispute resolution, corporate and commercial and private client.
Independent researchers from The Legal 500 have also praised Simcocks for providing a "real breadth of litigation services" as well as "tactical strength" and "business-orientated advice". There are very few significant civil litigation matters dealt with on the Isle of Man that Simcocks' Dispute Resolution team is not involved in and their track record of achievement in high stakes disputes, its technical expertise and tactical skills generate many complex referrals.
Director and Head of the Department, Christopher Arrowsmith said: "Every nominee for the Worldwide Business Review Awards is carefully scrutinised from their region to their performance, their commitment to innovation, their methods and even their competition to ensure that only the most deserving names walk away with an award. I'm delighted that the team has been recognised for keeping pace with the ever changing corporate landscape around the world."
The Department specialises in international corporate and commercial litigation and has considerable experience in complex cross-jurisdictional disputes with emphasis on trust-related and shareholder disputes, emergency injunctive and discovery remedies, together with judicial review applications.
