Simcocks Advocates has achieved another “First” having been awarded the Quality Standard ISO 9001 accreditation by Moodys International.
Phil Games, CEO of Simcocks Advocates said: "We are the first Isle of Man Law Practice to be awarded ISO 9001. We have been working towards achieving the quality standard over the last year and there is no doubt that the exercise has enabled us to evaluate all of our business processes so that we are now delivering an improved level of service more efficiently.”
“There is a perception amongst some businesses that quality standards are only for “big business”, but in reality companies of any size can benefit substantially from applying quality standards particularly as this can improve efficiency, reduce costs and perhaps more importantly focus attention on the training and development needs of all staff. I would encourage all business owners and managers to give this serious consideration."
Certification to ISO 9001 means:
- that companies have adopted practices to ensure that the needs and expectations of customers are met.
- commitment to quality, customers, and a willingness to work towards improving efficiency.
- the existence of an effective quality management system that satisfies the rigours of an independent, external audit.
One thing that we won’t be doing is resting on our laurels. ISO accreditation demands not just that you are efficient when audited, but also that you demonstrate an ongoing commitment to efficiency and improvement. We believe that we offer a good service to our clients but, as with any business, it could be improved and that’s why we welcome all constructive feedback.
