Easter Bunny hops into Ballaglass

April 2010

Families enjoyed the Easter festivities as they hunted high and low for eggs while at the same time raising money for the Isle of Man branch of the National Autistic Society.

Simcocks Advocates arranged the fun-filled morning at Ballaglass Glen in Maughold. More than 50 children wondered through the beautiful Glen hunting out brightly coloured paper eggs that were hidden in the trees and bushes. At the end of the hunt they were able to swap their haul for a chocolate Easter egg to take home.

Afterwards everyone enjoyed tucking into tea, coffee and Easter cakes.

Each year staff at Simcocks choose a different Island based charity to support and this year it is the Isle of Man branch of the National Autistic Society. The event on Easter Sunday raised more than £260.

Chief executive of Simcocks Advocates, Phil Games said: “We thought that an Easter Egg hunt was a great way to get in the mood for Spring. Everyone enjoyed themselves in a magical setting while at the same time raising money for a very good cause.”
